Loldia Ranch was originally established by a family who trekked by ox wagon from South Africa a century ago, and their descendants still own the land today.  Here you can experience the life of Kenya’s early settlers.

The current Loldia House was built in the Second World War and nestles under ancient acacia and wild fig trees in a uniquely peaceful setting. Lush lawns run down to the western shores of Lake Naivasha, the Great Rift Valley’s highest and purest lake. Plants and flowers fill the garden. Wild animals roam free here with small antelope wandering through the gardens, occasional buffalo, and hippo grazing at night. The original character of the house has been kept with comfy chairs around a huge fireplace and a deep and shady veranda to relax on.

Mouth watering meals, often with fish and shrimp from the lake, are served in the old dining room or outside under the stars.

There are day and night game drives. You can also visit Loldia school or take a boat trip on Lake Naivasha for fishing or bird watching.
